Dr. Lockman is a California native and joined the team at NIVES in June, 2018. He attended St. George’s University with his clinical year at Louisiana State University and obtained his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2016. He spent two years in Minnesota practicing general medicine before joining the NIVES Emergency and Critical Care team. While in school, Dr. Lockman assisted in research and monitoring of the local reptile and amphibian population. His passion for exotic and wildlife care grew when he volunteered at the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Minnesota. When Dr. Lockman has free time, he is usually outside hiking, looking for reptiles/amphibians, playing soccer or playing with his dog, Leroy. Dr. Lockman lives with his fiancé and their 2 dogs, 2 cats, Dumeril’s Boa and Sulcata Tortoise.
