Dr. Whittington is from Birch Run, Michigan, and attended the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Her passion for emergency medicine started in 2015 when she worked as an assistant at a small animal emergency clinic in Grand Rapids, MI. During her clinical year, Dr. Whittington completed a clinical externship with NIVES which furthered her interest in emergency and critical care. She accepted a position as an emergency doctor at NIVES after graduation in 2021. Dr. Whittington loves to incorporate Fear-Free techniques and has her level 3 Fear-free certification. When not at work, Dr. Whittington enjoys spending her free time with her husband Isaiah, and their three dogs – Colt, Buddy, and Perseus.
