Appointment Policy
To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases always receive top priority. Occasionally, appointments may be delayed by an emergency case; however our staff works diligently to see each client on time.
Patient Arrival Policy
It is not uncommon for sick or injured pets to feel a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings or other pets. For the comfort and safety of all clients, we ask you to properly restrain your pet. We recommend that animals be placed on a leash or in pet carriers before entering the waiting room. All dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms. All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash.
Payment Policy
We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, cash and personal checks.
If your pet is hospitalized for monitoring, diagnostics, or procedures, you will receive a detailed estimate of the hospital stay. You will be asked to sign a consent form allowing Northeast Indiana Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital to begin treating your pet. A detailed treatment plan will estimate your pet's critical care needs. A deposit of at least half of the detailed treatment plan is required prior to hospitalization. You must be 18 years of age to authorize treatment.
Due to the unexpected nature of emergencies and the potential costs for advanced care, financial assistance may be necessary. Many clients are able to discuss treatment options with family members and friends and obtain financial help.. In addition to all major credit cards, we accept CareCredit®. You can apply for CareCredit® in hospital or online at carecredit.com.
